Why we chose to certify our cosmetics.
Professional experience within everyone's reach: this is the Sendo philosophy. We like to think of our work as that of a craftsman who creates something beautiful, useful, and enjoyable for himself and others. It gratifies us to consider our journey as the continuous rediscovery of roots, reconnecting with the deepest sense of being.
We are different from traditional cosmetics because we have made a clear choice: to use sustainable, ecological, and clean ingredients. This is a way to cultivate day-by-day respect for us and others, increasingly challenged by a society prey to frenetic and unsustainable rhythms.
Precisely because we are advocates of a transparent approach, we wanted to have our products certified. We believe in cosmetics that respect people, the environment, and nature: the certifications we have obtained are official recognition of this commitment.
PETA Certification: Cruelty-free and Vegan
Sendo products have been approved by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), one of the world's best-known Non-Governmental Organizations, which since 1980 has been fighting to defend animal rights and promote a culture devoted to respect and not exploitation.
In particular, PETA has recognized Sendo with Cruelty-free and Vegan certifications: for those who may not be familiar with these, they attest that our products do not contain elements of animal origin, nor have they been tested on animals.
Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO)
We have chosen to join the RSPO program, which vows to counter the indiscriminate use and spread of palm oil, the production of which has reached irresponsible levels and is, among other things, one of the most serious risk factors for large areas of rainforest and other food crop areas.
This certification certifies the use of palm oil obtained through sustainable processes that do not fuel soil erosion.
CO2 Neutral Company
We are constantly measuring our carbon footprint, with particular attention to all stages of the production process, with the aim of zeroing out greenhouse gas emissions and, consequently, minimizing the environmental impact resulting from our production processes, including through support for so-called "offset projects" and environmental support.
COSMOS Natural
The COSMOS-standard is based on four basic principles:
- Promotion of products from organic farming
- Use of natural resources obtained with respect for the environment
- Use of processing methods that respect human health and the environment
- Minimal use (if not direct elimination) of harmful substances
Our All Care and Skincare lines have obtained COSMOS Natural certification, which applies to all products that use raw materials and ingredients of natural and organic origin. This is an achievement that makes us proud of the work done so far and naturally stands as a further guarantee of the quality of our products.
